Interior Design Assistant

An Interior Design Assistant is a highly organized and detail-oriented member of a Design team. • Ensure the use of SmartSheets dashboards and that all data and specs for the teams’ project are kept up to date. • Conduct research on materials, products, and design trends to ensure that design solutions are innovative and current • Assist seniors on job site walkthroughs following up with any necessary items with all relevant parties • Assist with project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors • Communicate with clients and vendors to assist in the coordination of design implementation. • Schedule meetings, book meeting rooms, and ensure all necessary materials are prepared for meetings. Qualifications: • Completion of a certified design course or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Office • Good organizational and time-management skills, Attention to detail and ability to multitask • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Physical ability to carry samples to clients and back to CMR offices • A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to learn • Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner

Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design industry • Completion of a certified design course or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Office • Excellent organizational, collaboration, time-management, and both verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Ability to supervise a design team to assist in the completion of tasks • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards • Knowledge of design principles, materials, and finishes • Excellent project management skills and experience using SmartSheets or similar project management software • Physical ability to carry samples to clients and back to CMR offices • Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner, positively representing the design firm • A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to learn
