About this role

Job Summary: A Senior Designer is a self-motivated, highly skilled, organized and detail-oriented professional working solo or as a senior member of a Design team. The Senior Designer is responsible for the proper execution of all projects assigned to her/ him. It is the Senior Designer’ who ensures that all tasks are completed in a most organized, efficient and timely manner, for the successful... outcome of the project, with minimal guidance from a superior. Is able to carry a heavier workload than an Interior Designer without compromising the quality or turnaround time of the projects. The position requires an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to multitask. Key Responsibilities: • Utilize SmartSheets as the primary project management tool to track and manage project progress, schedules, and deadlines. • Follow the design process and coordinate all design selections, including but not limited to finishes, furniture, lighting, and decor. • Represent the design firm to clients and vendors in a professional manner, effectively communicating project goals, design concepts, and project updates. • Task scheduling and completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. • Create and maintain design boards for client meetings and presentations. • Oversee coordination of all renderings and drafting, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the design process. • Conduct research on materials, products, and design trends to ensure that design solutions are innovative and current • Conduct job site walkthroughs with all sub-contractors and vendors to ensure coordination of all design aspects, including but not limited to materials, installation, and finishing details. • Collaborate with other team members, including architects, contractors, and vendors, to ensure the successful completion of all projects. • Maintain design team samples and ensure a clean and organized workspace and library. • Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design industry • Completion of a certified design course or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Office • Excellent organizational, collaboration, time-management, and both verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Ability to supervise a design team to assist in the completion of tasks • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards • Knowledge of design principles, materials, and finishes • Excellent project management skills and experience using SmartSheets or similar project management software • Physical ability to carry samples to clients and back to CMR offices • Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner, positively representing the design firm • A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to learn Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $55.00 per hour Benefits: • Paid time off Schedule: • Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: • Lakewood, NJ (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Lakewood, NJ: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
