The Design Assistant supports Sales Designers throughout the client journey by managing administrative tasks, coordinating client communication, and executing design ideas. What You'll Do • Support Sales Designers with client communication: Make client calls to gather information, confirm appointments, follow up on selections, and provide project updates as directed • Collect and document client notes and preferences: Attend client meetings to capture detailed notes on design preferences, specifications, appliances, and project requirements • Execute customer design ideas: Translate client vision and Sales Designer direction into preliminary layouts, material selections, and design documentation • Request and organize vendor quotes: Gather product information and pricing from vendors to support accurate estimating and client presentations • Upload and manage project documentation: Maintain organized files in BuilderTrend including client notes, drawings, selections, photos, and specifications • Prepare materials for client meetings: Assemble design presentation materials, sample boards, product catalogs, and client folders for consultations and selection meetings • Assist with form submissions and tracking: Complete and submit design request forms, selections documentation, and internal approval forms • Make design adjustments: Perform revisions in 20/20 Design software under Sales Designer guidance to update layouts or correct details • Track outstanding items and follow-ups: Monitor pending client approvals, missing documentation, and quote requests to ensure timely project progression • Provide calendar and scheduling support: Coordinate selection meetings, client appointments, and internal coordination sessions Required Qualifications • 2+ years of administrative, customer service, or design support experience • Proficient with drafting software (20/20 Design) • Knowledge of cabinetry products, finishes, and material selections • Strong client communication skills with professional phone and email etiquette • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation • Ability to take clear, comprehensive notes during client meetings • Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously • Proficiency with project management software and file organization systems • Team player who takes direction well and follows established processes • Proactive follow-through on delegated tasks without requiring constant reminders
