Required Related Experience Must be able to work as a team, share research data, along with good communication skills. Required License/Registration/Certification n/a Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Shift Varies Job Summary Through socially responsible and critically engaged research, student researchers will contribute to advancing interior design practices that create meaningful impact both locally and globally. In this role, students will: • Collaborate with faculty and interdisciplinary teams on projects that address pressing societal challenges, including disasters facing Kentuckians, community resilience, and sustainable design. • Participate in hands-on research activities such as data collection, design analysis, literature review, and documentation of design interventions. • Support the development of innovative design strategies that prioritize culturally responsive and community-centered approaches. • Engage in reflective practice, contributing insights that inform both academic scholarship and real-world applications of interior design. • Develop professional research skills, including critical thinking, project management, and effective communication of design research outcomes.
