Job Description:
Join CDM Smith as a Workplace Environments Interior Design Specialist and play a key role in shaping our firmwide workplace strategy across 500,000 square feet of dynamic office space! This exciting position merges interior design, space planning, and project management to create functional, visually stunning office environments that meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead innovative design planning and execution for office space projects from inception to completion.
• Create comprehensive drawings and engaging presentations for internal stakeholders to convey design vision and effective space solutions.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to gather crucial business intelligence for relocation and move sequencing logistics.
• Manage the procurement and coordination of furniture systems, ensuring they align with our corporate standards.
• Act as the primary liaison among local offices, vendors, project teams, and property management to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee construction management for office buildouts and expansions, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with corporate workplace design standards by reviewing fit plans and construction documents.
• Maintain internal resources, including our department web page and workroom site.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years of related experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on project needs and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• NCIQ or IIDA certification.
• Familiarity with corporate design standards and sustainable design practices.
• Experience managing multi-site office projects or within a large corporate real estate portfolio.
Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience in real estate lease reviews, space planning, and property evaluations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and attention to detail.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $67,538 - $111,405. All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary.
This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office and is based in a metropolitan area on the East Coast of the United States. Candidates must currently reside on the East Coast.
