Tile Setter

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile laying and experience in various construction-related tasks. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and physical stamina. Responsibilities • Measure and cut tiles to fit specified areas accurately. • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as needed. • Lay tiles in accordance with design patterns and specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. • Grout and seal tiles after installation to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. • Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and concrete finishers to complete projects efficiently. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing minor repairs as necessary. • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment on job sites. • Assist with other construction tasks as needed, including flooring installation, fixture installation, concrete forming, and construction painting. Qualifications • Proven experience in tile laying or related construction fields is preferred. • Familiarity with roofing techniques is a plus. • Ability to weld or fabricate materials is advantageous. • Experience in concrete finishing and forming is beneficial. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications accurately. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods while lifting heavy materials. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
