About this role

Senior Interior Designer role in Glastonbury, CT office of SLAM firm. Opportunity to grow with the firm and build practice as member of well-established Interior Design studio. Job Requirements: • 15+ years experience working as interior designer in corporate and/or higher education markets. • Provide exceptional design capabilities and produce high-quality innovative functional aesthetically driven work aligning with firms core values. • Experience with architectural design process integration of all aspects interior design including programming planning conceptual design design development construction documents construction administration overall project execution. • Excellent interpersonal skills excellent listening communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of effective team strong emphasis on leadership within various team dynamics. • Self-starter responsible organized highly motivated detail-oriented problem-solver ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience managing project budgets schedules. • Experience leading a team in planning work developing solutions technical design problems directing organizing mentoring junior team members oversight activities. • Strong knowledge FF&E space planning manufacturers dealers specification writing procurement processes project management scope work. • Ability to lead clients successfully work with project teams on all project phases from planning initial interior design concepts through construction. • Contribute growth development success interiors studio across multiple offices. • Ability to travel project sites attend client meetings as needed. • Proficient in Revit SketchUp Enscape 3D visualization tools/programs. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop Power Point InDesign. • Bachelors degree interior design NCIDQ Certification or in architecture focus interior architecture/interior design. • WELL AP LEED Certified preferred but not required. Business Development: • Lead and/or contribute proposal development. • Work market leadership pursue prospective clients opportunities. • Participate project team interviews as appropriate. • Active participation local professional organizations.
