Job Summary The School of Architecture and the School of Interiors in the University of Kentucky College of Design seek applicants for a jointly appointed full-time, tenure-ineligible Temporary Assistant Professor to teach design studios as well as architecture related electives during the academic year 2024-25. This position provides the opportunity to teach motivated students in a program committed to the history and theory of architecture, design innovation and experimentation, and building technology and fabrication. Teaching experience in design studios is required. Professional experience in architecture is preferred. Applicants with demonstrated passion for and innovative ideas about preparing students for the future will be prioritized. The successful candidate will also possess an enthusiastic desire to explore, define, and expand their design research agenda as the position provides the opportunity to share research in a public lecture to college and professional partners. Applicants should have an earned an M.Arch or Ph.D. in Architecture . A professional degree in the field (M.Arch or equivalent) is required. The selected candidate will be jointly appointed to a full-time temporary, tenure-ineligible 9-month faculty position in both the School of Architecture and the School of Interiors, starting August 16, 2024.
