As a Technical Designer at Gensler, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. Skills • Proficiency in Revit • Outstanding visualization & modeling capabilities using 3D software such as Enscape, 3ds MAX, Sketch-up and/or Rhino (V-Ray a plus) • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office • Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements • Strong inter-personal skills and clear verbal communication abilities • Ability to think and visualize in three dimensions Responsibilities • Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings • Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts • Work synergistically with other design and professional staff • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture • 2-5 years of related project experience at a commercial interior design or architecture firm • Enrollment in IDP Program (NCARB or NCIDQ) and in-process for state licensure • LEED Accredited Professional or in process • Ability to work in person in the office 5 days a week • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment • Collaborative mindset and ability to take direction from senior designers/architects Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture Education Requirements Credential Category • Interior Design or Architecture Experience Requirements • 2-5 years of related project experience at a commercial interior design or architecture firm Why work in San Jose, CA San Jose is known for its vibrant culture, innovative tech scene, and diverse community.
