Teaching Faculty for Interior Design Program

• *Faculty Position for Teaching Interior Design Program:** We are seeking a qualified Teaching Faculty for Interior Design Program to join our team at San Joaquin Delta College. As a member of our faculty, you will teach organized classes primarily in the Interior Design discipline(s). About the Job: • This is a part-time position, with up to 10 units (part-time) in the assigned discipline. • The ideal candidate will possess current knowledge of the Interiors industry, demonstrate good communication skills, and have completed a degree in Interior Design. Responsibilities and Duties: • Instruct courses in Interior Design in accordance with credit course outlines approved by the Board of Trustees. • Maintain expertise in current teaching methods, discipline knowledge, and discipline specific technologies. • Assist students in achieving stated course objectives. Evaluate the progress of each student and notify students in need of counseling services and/or tutorial assistance. • Track student learning outcomes and maintain records of student learning outcomes. • Participate in the departmental process of curriculum review, modification, and the assessment of student learning outcomes in order to make the program successful. Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field and two years of professional experience OR an Associate's degree in interior design or related field and six years of professional experience. • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
