Summer Interior Design

Our goal is to provide a desirable community where you can live a fully engaged lifestyle within minutes of your home. • *Job Summary** We are seeking a Summer Interior Design & Marketing Intern to be an integral member of our Design & Sales team. To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess interior design expertise and client relations skills. This role will focus on assisting our Interior Designer and sales team, as well as producing marketing content for our luxury homes. Secondary responsibilities include office administration duties and assisting other team members as needed. • *Duties and Responsibilities** • Assist Interior Designer during client appointments to guide them through home plans, structural options, and interior/exterior finishes. • Take detailed notes during client meetings to ensure execution of Homebuyer selections. • Provide advice on design trends, space planning, and product selection. • Assist our VP of Marketing in publishing content on various social media sites. • Present design concept renderings including floor plan options, appliance & furniture layouts, and material selections to clients. • Estimate design option project costs to determine construction execution cost projections. • Work closely with the Purchasing & Construction Team to execute design projects. • Assist with Office Manager duties as needed. • Assist with Administration & Construction team duties as needed. • *Requirements** • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Marketing. • Interior Design Portfolio that aligns with JIA Communities' design vision. • Strong estimating skills to determine design layout option project costs. • Experience in both residential and commercial Interior Design. • Comfortable in an Interior Design consultative sales method. • Ability to travel to Rogers, AR. • Strong organizational skills, deadline-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Computer skills and experience with Apple iOS, Microsoft Suites, and rendering software. • *Health & Safety** Must follow all personal protective equipment and safety requirements. • *Hours** 6 Hours/Day, Monday-Friday (30 hours/week). • *Disclaimer** The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
