Staging Director

We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Staging Director to lead our dynamic team of professional designers in Lanham, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing every aspect of staging design from conception to execution, including client liaison, packaging and installation. This is a leadership position and requires strong management and interior design... skills, providing an exciting opportunity for a candidate with experience in interior design and keen attention to detail. The role can be filled as an employee or independent contractor, depending on business needs. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating new staging design projects from start to finish. Key duties will include: Developing the design concept for each project Overseeing the project's needs and available resources Packaging design concept and deployment Tracking client feedback and editing design packages Maintaining detailed knowledge of the furniture inventory Keeping up-to-date with national and local interior design trends Collaborating with sales and staging teams to decide on furnishings, art and accents Hiring and training staging staff Planning, designing and communicating a project's requirement to team members and third-party contractors Translating customers' needs into an actionable plan Managing the progress of design projects Researching and deciding on product and material sourcing Producing sample and mood products as required Overseeing the development and installation of premium stagings, commercial design projects and model home design. Requirements We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications: Experience in decorating interior spaces for consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions Expertise in furniture selection, layout, color, lighting, custom furniture and installations. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other relevant design software Proven method of communication and presentation of ideas Portfolio of previous work Strong project management skills Experience managing a diverse team of designers A degree in interior design or art Ability to design in many styles Highly knowledgeable on current trends and fashions in interior design.
