About the Position The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of HHG Interiors and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the VP of Accounting, this full-time, in-person position is responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting support. You’ll contribute to a high-functioning finance team that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement—and you’ll gain exposure to a multi-entity environment in the midst of thoughtful, strategic growth. Responsibilities Include: • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payment application, vendor communication, and issue resolution • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly and accurately • Maintain general ledger accuracy across entities; support timely and complete month-end close • Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations • Generate base reports to support financial review and operational decision-making • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales and use tax filings • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for internal review • Support audits, budgeting, and documentation of financial processes and procedures • Assist in onboarding and integrating financial operations for new acquisitions or business units Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). • 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity or multi-division organizations. • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. • Proven experience collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams. • Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. • Process-minded, detail-oriented, and driven by continuous improvement. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial stakeholders. • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
