Work Location: Office Description Who We Are Looking For: Populous is seeking a passionate, creative, engaged, and technically proficient Sr. Interior Designer to join us in a dynamic and collaborative design atmosphere. Applicants must possess exceptional design and technical abilities. Our preferred candidate will have polished skills in written and verbal communications and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. The best candidate will be self-motivated, directed, and eager to learn within a fun, collaborative atmosphere. Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC industry and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities. What Your Day Could Consist Of: • Contributing to design and documentation across all aspects of the interiors process using various media formats. • Strong hospitality design experience required. • Creative design thinking with expertise in spatial and environmental design, branding development, story creation, and graphic design sensibility. • Managing multiple projects, demonstrating strong organizational, presentation, and technical skills. • Interacting confidently with clients, leading presentations, meetings, and collaborative sessions. • Building trust and leading large consultant teams effectively. • Managing multiple projects independently with minimal supervision. • Collaborating within a team, open to giving and receiving direction. • Deep passion for design and innovation. • Exceptional visual, written, and spoken communication skills. • Highly detail-oriented, performing effectively in demanding environments. • Strong sketching and freehand drawing skills to quickly convey ideas. Qualifications Requirements For Success: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Excellent communication skills, including technical and creative writing. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. • Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills. Essential Qualifications: • Professional Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture. • 12+ years of relevant experience. • NCIDQ certification preferred. • Proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. • Rendering experience, both digital and freehand.
