Who You Are: O2 Design, an award winning and innovative interior design firm looking for a full-time Senior Interior Designer with 7 to 10 years of experience. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about design, creative, energetic, and has strong client/vendor relations and communications skills. The SIA/D will be responsible for the overall style, budget, and scheduling of creative interior design solutions for a variety of residential and commercial design projects, which focus primarily on residential high-rise buildings, clubhouses, fitness centers, commercial lobbies, sales/leasing offices, and model homes. The ideal candidate must be an intuitive listener, tech savvy, able to pick up information quickly, be proactive with developing interior design solutions, and meet demanding schedules and timelines in a fast-paced work environment. What You'll Do: Responsibilities will include: Interior architectural space planning and design FF&E material selections and specifications Coordination with multiple disciplines, including base building architects, MEP Engineers and on-site construction personnel Millwork design and detailing Lighting Design and specification Select, specify and artfully curate architectural finish palettes for all project types Preparation of furniture specifications and bid packages Direct and coordinate with furniture vendors, project consultants, and procurement agents Preparation of furniture punch lists and project closeout activities Meeting with industry vendors to learn about new building products Client contact and presentations Management and mentoring of team of 3-5 designers and production personnel What You Bring: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired: Ability to read and interpret construction and interior design documents Knowledge of all aspects of Interior Design projects from inception to completion Background in Interior Design, Architecture and FF&E selection Basic knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong presentation skills Strong Project Management Skills Self-motivated and must possess a positive, can-do attitude Ability to multi-task and problem solve Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) Requirements: Interior Design degree from an accredited ID program, BFA 7-10 years US experience Experience in Corporate Interiors a MUST NCIDQ-certified a plus Must work out of our Lambertville, NJ office 3 days per week.
