Position Overview: The Senior Director of Operations, E-commerce is responsible for managing all aspects of a multi-site supply chain operation. This individual will provide overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and Associate development. The Sr. Director, Operations will support the organization as it grows by overseeing E-commerce operations. Location: Remote Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $150,000-$220,000 plus a bonus opportunity. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in team calls and oversee needed operational functions as the business ramps up • Coordinates on-site as needed with contractors, maintenance, inspectors, etc. • Partners with HR to coordinate hiring and training of staff • Direct the operations of warehouse, packaging, and logistics managers to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations. • Evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives. Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met. • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability. • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property. • Ensure compliance with all company, customer and government/regulatory requirements. • Qualified candidates should have at least 5 - 7 years management experience in a high volume, fast paced 3PL warehousing and transportation environment. • Comprehensive knowledge of large warehousing operations, including packaging, is necessary: experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) distribution preferred. • Bachelors' Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related operations discipline preferred. • A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning. • Must be able to give and receive innovative, creative and helpful feedback for team growth, productivity and profitability. • We are searching for candidates with strong, demonstrated experience effectively managing hourly and salaried staff. • Experience with performance management systems, progressive discipline and safety reporting is required. • Experience with the fiscal components (budgeting, cost controls, etc.) of facility management is required. • Candidates must have knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory requirements. • Experience in Lean / Six Sigma. Certification preferred. • Strong customer service skills and experience are required. • This position includes travel to support E-Commerce operations
