About this role

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Space Planning / Facilities Planning Specialist in York, PA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role serves as a central point of contact for office strategies and work environment solutions, supporting facility utilization, renovations, layouts, equipment updates, and utilities support under the direction of the Facilities Manager. You will coordinate projects, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, support ergonomic practices, and use CAD tools (AutoCAD required) to develop and execute space plans aligned to site needs. Required Skills • B.S. degree in Architecture / Interior Design or equivalent education • 3-5+ years of experience in space planning, interior design, or corporate real estate • AutoCAD experience (required) • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel • Strong analytical, communication, and spatial visualization skills • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations • Project management and coordination experience • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to analyze facilities problems and recommend solutions Preferred Skills • Strong analytical, communication, and spatial visualization skills What You'll Do • Support office interior design efforts including layouts, fit-outs, furniture purchases, and coordination • Perform space planning for new and renovated areas per site standards for furniture appearance and finishes • Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities and subcontractors to ensure schedule and scope compliance • Coordinate with Safety and other departments to support ergonomic practices and complete follow-up audits • Use computer-aided layout and planning systems (AutoCAD) to develop plans and layouts • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local/state/federal regulations and codes during project activities • Serve as primary interface with site stakeholders to understand organizational direction and changing workplace needs • Forecast space requirements and develop executable plans aligned to business needs and corporate objectives • Facilitate discussions to define space requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs) • Execute change management for unplanned and special project requests • Align occupancy plans with workplace strategies and establish project goals and schedule parameters Job ID: 7337
