Shop and Interior Design Studio Assistant / Associate / Manager

Rusticator is seeking a full-time assistant/associate/manager to support our home furnishings and interiors shop as well as our interior design studio based in Seal Harbor, Maine. Rusticator is a family-owned and operated business and we are looking for a detail-oriented, upbeat go-getter with a willingness to learn to join our growing team based in Boston, MA and Seal Harbor, ME. The role will primarily focus on ensuring our guests have an incredible experience at Rusticator and will include building relationships with guests, identifying their needs and wants, and helping to fulfill them. **Eligibility** \\- Minimum of 2 years experience working in retail or interior design \\- Ability to work Monday - Saturday during the summer, 4 days a week in the off-season \\- Efficiency in MacOS and Google suite \\- Outstanding customer service skills \\- Highly organized with strong attention to detail \\- Open-minded, positive, and willing to learn \\- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at various stages simultaneously in a fast- paced environment \\- Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information \\- Some travel required \\- Driver’s License required \\- Full benefits offered **Roles & Responsibilities** \\- Interact with guests in the shop, via email, on the phone, and on social media. \\- Conduct all transactions via our Point of Sale system, Shopify. \\- Be a product expert for shop inventory. \\- Field questions about items and provide information to drive made-to-order furniture and other custom pieces. \\- Assist with the sourcing and purchasing for all Rusticator guest special orders. \\- Manage all inventory on the shop floor and in stock. This includes receiving and inspecting new inventory, filing claims with vendors, restocking and reordering when necessary, and tracking. \\- Coordinate shipping of all guest orders. \\- Schedule and coordinate all deliveries for guest purchases. \\- Make recommendations and gather feedback from guests on new products or vendors to carry including small goods, fabrics, and furniture. \\- Participate in merchandising the shop to tastefully display our products. \\- Manage our design studio sample library. Help to keep our studio organized and tidy. \\- Assist with various tasks for local design projects including coordinating with vendors, site measurements, deliveries, and beyond.
