Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and accomplished Interior Designer specializing in sports facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong design and technical skills to effectively manage implementation documentation while demonstrating leadership in resource management. Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage innovative design concepts and branding strategies tailored to client requirements and project market positioning.
• Continuously enhance interior concepts guided by client vision and architectural themes.
• Apply creative thinking to devise unique and effective design solutions.
• Prepare detailed implementation documents including designs, plans, models, and layouts.
• Supervise the design detail and documentation preparation conducted by the project team.
• Collaborate at every stage of the design process, from programming to construction documentation.
• Lead and manage interior projects of all sizes with minimal oversight.
• Share responsibility in managing project documents, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
• Effectively communicate design requirements and solutions to the larger design and construction teams.
• Work collaboratively to find solutions to technical and design challenges.
• Coordinate client presentations and public hearings when necessary.
• Utilize persuasive and negotiation skills in critical discussions.
• Assist in developing cost estimates for design proposals.
• Oversee the project team’s review and approval process for all design documents and selections.
• Communicate with various disciplines, vendors, and contractors to integrate project requirements.
• Engage in product presentations to stay informed about industry trends, products, and materials.
• Lead team discussions on project and technical issues, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Document meeting outcomes as needed.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
Licenses and Certifications
• NCIDQ certification required.
• Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Expertise in Twinmotion, Enscape, or other visualization tools.
• Intermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo; advanced skills preferred.
• Familiarity with AI design tools and VR technologies.
• Basic knowledge of furniture specifications software and familiarity with Navisworks preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
• Knowledge of building codes and ability to conduct research for incorporation into technical documents.
• Intermediate experience with FF&E to fulfill design objectives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships required.
• Strong presentation and organizational skills.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written, in a concise and professional manner.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to foster collaboration.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
Base Salary Range: $90k to $110k annually.
This salary range applies to candidates in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, San Diego, and Seattle. The final salary will depend on factors such as experience, education, and skill set.
