Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Project Architect to lead architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills. The Project Architect will manage project teams, coordinate with consultants, oversee documentation, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required), demonstrating a solid academic foundation in architectural design, theory, and technical practices.
• * Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure, reflecting a commitment to professional growth and adherence to industry standards.
• * Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional architectural experience, including involvement in a variety of project types and scales.
• * Proven experience managing and leading multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating with project staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery. Skilled at mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
• * Proficiency in essential architectural and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as familiarity with other visualization and project management tools.
• * Comprehensive understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, permitting processes, and industry best practices, ensuring all designs comply with local and national standards.
• * Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to successfully deliver projects on time and within scope.
• * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. Comfortable presenting complex ideas clearly and professionally.
• * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead architectural projects from schematic design through construction documentation and administration
• * Develop and refine design concepts in collaboration with clients and the internal design team
• * Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and permit applications ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
• * Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
• * Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• * Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design intent
• * Facilitate project meetings and client presentations, communicating technical information clearly and effectively
• * Stay current with industry trends, materials, technologies, and sustainability practices
