Skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, building codes, and construction processes • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign preferred • Familiarity with CAP Software and/or CET Designer preferred • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications Responsibilities • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously • Conduct programming interviews with clients • Provide documentation to estimating for establishing project budgets • Interface with sales, architecture, engineering, digital, and construction teams • Generate and finalize interior design concepts • Lead team members and guide all disciplines on projects • Conduct site surveys for existing locations • Respond to clients and project executives in a timely manner • Generate and present concepts, interior finish drawings, furniture drawings, and presentations to clients • Manage the development of construction documents • Review construction documents and project manuals, providing redlines as necessary • Review furniture specifications, installation drawings, and provide redlines • Review submittals, shop drawings, and prepare/issue addendums and/or ASIs as necessary • Attend project walkthroughs, final punch, and prepare related documentation • Complete projects on schedule and within budget • Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field required • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial Interior Design required • NCIDQ Certification required • LEED or WELL accreditation preferred Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field required Education Requirements Credential Category • Professional Certification required (NCIDQ) Experience Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in commercial Interior Design • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign is preferred • Experience with CAP Software and/or CET Designer is preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Why work in Chicago, IL Chicago boasts a vibrant culture, rich history, and a dynamic job market.
