Skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, building codes, and construction processes • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign (preferred) • Experience with CAP Software and/or CET Designer (preferred) • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Responsibilities • Coordinate multiple design projects simultaneously • Conduct programming interviews with clients • Provide necessary documentation to estimating for project budgeting • Interface with sales, architecture, engineering, digital, and construction teams • Generate and finalize interior design concepts • Lead and guide team members across all project disciplines • Conduct site surveys for existing locations • Respond promptly to clients and project executives • Create and present design concepts, drawings, and presentations • Manage the development of construction documents • Review construction documents and provide necessary revisions • Review furniture specifications and installation drawings • Address submittals and shop drawings, preparing necessary addendums • Attend project walkthroughs and prepare documentation • Complete projects within established timelines and budgets • Perform additional related tasks as assigned Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field required • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial Interior Design required • NCIDQ Certification required • LEED or WELL accreditation preferred • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications required Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree Experience Requirements • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial Interior Design Why work in Chicago, IL Chicago offers a vibrant urban experience with a rich cultural scene, diverse dining options, and a thriving arts community.
