About this role
Our highly known interior design firm in Dallas is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Principal Designer, this role involves leading and managing design projects from concept development through final installation, ensuring a cohesive and exceptional client experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering collaboration and creativity within the team.
• Introduce innovative design concepts and deliver bespoke solutions tailored to client needs.
Demonstrate expertise in furniture design and the ability to solve challenges quickly and effectively.
• Oversee vendor management for custom design projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Establish clear project goals and deadlines while maintaining communication with contractors, vendors, and the design team.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress, ensure adherence to plans, and address any issues promptly.
• Review and approve design work and vendor quotes for accuracy before submission.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
• Work closely with the Principal Designer to execute the vision and preferences for various projects, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, revisions, mood boards, and presentations to effectively communicate concepts to clients and team members.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and coordination with contractors, vendors, and subs to meet deliverables.
• Utilize tools like Revit, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Bluebeam to create and refine design solutions
• Proactively manage project statuses and provide support to junior team members as needed to meet deadlines.
PROJECT INSTALLATIONS
• Prepare for installations by ensuring all materials, drawings, and specifications are ready and accessible to the team.
• Conduct site measurements to confirm space suitability for furniture and design elements.
• Supervise and coordinate installations to achieve flawless project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in interior design or architecture.
• Proficient in design software, including Revit, Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop,
• * Proven experience in project management and leading creative design teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong skills in client, vendor and contractor relationship management.
• Expertise in staging and finalizing design elements for client presentations and installations.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
• $90k-$125,000 depending on experience
