About this role

JOB SUMMARY NOTE: This is a FLEX Associate Engagement Position type: Full-Time Duration: 12 Months The Sr. Interior Designer at FLEX coordinates and reviews design activities for various hotel projects, ensuring quality control, brand compliance, and operational acceptability. They support the design team in quality assurance and provide design services for renovations, new builds, and conversions. Role Responsibilities/Duties • Assist the design team with planning and executing interior design activities and communications. • Review and coordinate incoming design submittals for completeness and track them in databases. • Update and maintain renovation and PIP scope templates. • Improve and maintain design review documents and templates. • Provide conceptual design studies and sketches. • Support technical review of drawings and submittals for various projects. • Coordinate review and approval of brand standard variances with relevant disciplines. • Solve design problems and maintain project data and files for evolving concepts. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred. • Four or more years of experience in interior design, particularly for large commercial or hospitality projects. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe). • Strong problem-solving, creative solution skills, and business acumen. • Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings. • Excellent organizational and project management skills. • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships. • Demonstrated flexibility and negotiation skills. Competencies • Design Expertise: Strong skills in interior design and space planning. • Quality Control: Ensures adherence to brand standards and operational requirements. • Communication: Effective in coordinating and reviewing design activities and submittals. • Problem Solving: Ability to address complex design issues using various techniques. • Organizational Skills: Maintains detailed project data and manages multiple tasks. • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in design-related software and applications.
