About Us: Adam Cassino Design is a premier interior design firm based in New York City, with a reputation for creativity, ingenuity, and exceptional customer service. We specialize in high-end residential and commercial projects in New York City, Long Island, the Hamptons, and Florida. We are looking to expand our talented team with a Senior Interior Designer focused on the Long Island region. Key Responsibilities: · Project Management: • Overseeing all phases of design projects from concept to completion. • Managing timelines, budgets, and resources. • Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure project progress and quality. · Client Interaction: • Meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets. • Presenting design concepts, plans, and proposals to clients. • Providing guidance and recommendations to clients throughout the design process. • Addressing client feedback and making necessary adjustments to designs. · Design Development: • Creating detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications. • Developing mood boards, color schemes, and material selections. • Generating 3D renderings and visualizations to communicate design ideas. • Selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that align with the design vision. · Team Leadership: • Leading and mentoring junior designers and design assistants. • Delegating tasks and ensuring team members meet deadlines and quality standards. • Collaborating with the design team to brainstorm and develop creative solutions. · Technical Skills: • Proficient use of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer. • Ability to create accurate and detailed construction documents and specifications. • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards. · Vendor and Supplier Coordination: • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers. • Sourcing and procuring materials, furnishings, and accessories. • Negotiating pricing and contracts with vendors. · Construction Oversight: • Supervising construction and installation processes. • Ensuring that work is executed according to design plans and specifications. • Resolving any on-site issues or discrepancies that arise during construction. · Budget and Cost Management: • Developing and managing project budgets. • Tracking expenses and ensuring projects stay within budget. • Providing clients with cost estimates and managing financial aspects of projects. · Sales and Marketing: • Contributing to business development efforts by attracting new clients. • Participating in marketing and promotional activities. • Representing the firm at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. · Continuous Learning and Development: • Staying updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies. • Pursuing continuing education opportunities and certifications. • Participating in professional organizations and attending relevant workshops or seminars. Requirements: • A minimum of 7 years of experience in interior design. • Strong project management skills and ability to lead construction and job site management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Studio Designer software, and AutoCAD. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • A car and willingness to drive between clients and our offices. • Ability to work one office day per week at our Greenvale, NY location. • Flexibility to travel occasionally to New York City, Florida, and other locations.
