Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Interior Designer at Jessica Gersten Interiors located in New York, NY. The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for space planning, architecture, construction drawings, interior design, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). They will collaborate with clients and team members to create innovative and functional design solutions that meet the client's vision and requirements. The Senior Interior Designer will oversee projects from concept development to execution, ensuring high-quality design and timely completion.
Qualifications
• Strong skills in space planning, architecture, and construction drawings
• Expertise in interior design, including conceptualization and material selection
• Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and procurement
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to create cohesive design schemes
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting and time management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration
• Ability to work creatively and independently, as well as in a team environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Membership in professional design organizations is a plus
