About this role
The RCF Group is a Best in Class commerical furniture dealer and we are looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team. The successful candidate must be energetic, detail oriented, self-motivated, curious, and possess superior communication and follow-through skills. Responsible for full range of creative and technical duties.
1. Project Planning and Management: Manage adherence to... project schedule, internal and external budgets, and quality of design work. Meet with contractors, sub-contracted trades, clients, A&D firms, client’s IT group, field measure and document job site conditions, etc. Communicate with customer throughout the design and installation process. Travel occasionally for client-based needs.
2. Conceptualizing and Defining Project Requirements: Begin by understanding the client's needs, conduct in-depth programming and product/project scope documentation; interview customer/end users, research workplace requirements, and analyze space/furniture needs.
3. Space Planning and Layout Development: Work alongside Junior Designers on staff to develop floor plans utilizing commercial furniture along with writing detailed specifications and selecting finishes. Create detailed floor plans, elevation drawings, and 3D models to visualize the proposed layout.
4. Establishing Project Timeline and Budget: Develop a realistic project schedule, factoring in design, procurement, construction, and installation phases. Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage the project budget throughout its lifecycle.
5. Design Development and Implementation: Selecting Materials, Finishes, and Furnishings: Designers carefully select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the project's aesthetic style, functionality, and budget. Utilize knowledge regarding building codes, ADA compliance, etc.
6. Continue to grow in design field through seminars, trainings, vendor meetings, trade shows, and other industry events. Stay informed on interior design trends.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
• 2 or 4 year degree in Interior Design
• 3-5 years of previous design experience; commercial furniture industry is a plus
• Proficient in: AutoCAD and/or Revit, Microsoft Office Suites, Project Matrix and CET Designer
• Attention to detail and professional communication skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated integrity and confidence

Pay: $61,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
