Salary: Starting at $80,000 Glenna Stone Interior Design is seeking a full-time talented interior design professional to help support the design phases for residential and commercial projects. This position will be located in Philadelphia, PA, relocation will be required... We are looking for someone with 7+ years of high-end residential or boutique hospitality experience, who wants to flourish creatively in a lead role. Successful candidates will be creative and passionate about design, experienced with FF&E, highly motivated, and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. They will have exceptional verbal and graphic communication, experience working through all phases of design, including creating and managing to project budgets. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, superb attention to detail, will establish and develop client relations, and help provide direction to a team of designers in our positive and forward-thinking environment. Primary Responsibilities The Senior Interior Designer is instrumental in leading all design phases including project management and execution of design concepts, specifications, produce design and construction documents, assists with redlines, manages projects, and client relationships, and works closely with team members on all phases of our projects including: • Lead efforts for the development of the design and the project with input from the Design Director/Principal. • Conceptualize and describe design ideas through images, mood boards and hand sketching. • Develop space plans, project budgets, schedule and programming documentation. • Lead selections and specifications of finish materials and furniture. • Lead in the preparation of design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions. • Interface with clients, contractors, and consultants. Lead project meetings & client presentations. • Organize and prioritize own work efforts as well as assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetings. • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFI’s. • Contribute to a team approach through the spirit of collaboration. • Mentor other interior designers. • Understand building codes and building systems. Desired Qualifications • High level of understanding of sophisticated architectural detailing • Experience with high-end interiors, and a sophisticated design aesthetic • Experience sourcing and designing custom FF&E • Experience working in a phased design process approach • Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills • Understanding the financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator & Photoshop. • Desire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneously • Resilient in coping with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectively • 7+ years of high-end residential design experience Must be self-motivated and able to fulfill time-sensitive tasks and enjoy working in a small firm environment. Must have access to a car.
