About this role

The RCF Group is a Best in Class furniture dealer and we are looking for Senior Interior Designers to join our growing team. The qualified candidate should be both a team and client oriented individual with an Interior Design degree. Designers may work independently or alongside colleagues creating and presenting concepts. The successful candidate must be energetic, detail oriented, self-motivated, curious, and possess superior communication and follow-through skills. Responsible for full range of creative and technical duties. Skills/Qualifications include but not limited to: • Effectively communicate intent to Junior Designers on staff to develop floor plans utilizing commercial furniture along with writing detailed specifications and selecting finishes. • Create design presentations and communicate designs to clients both virtually and in-person. • Knowledge of materials, to include (but not limited to) textiles, flooring, paints, and wallcoverings. • Able to lead efforts for Bid or Proposal Responses by assembling collateral materials. • Maintain communication throughout the design and installation process. • Attend client planning meetings, present plans, and information to clients for review and approval. • Possess technical detail required to inventory clients existing products and produce as built drawings/specifications. • Conduct in-depth programming and product/project scope documentation; interview customer/end users, research workplace requirements, and analyze space/furniture needs. • Develop concise end of project documentation for clients. • Conduct field and punch list review with Project Managers and/or installation partners. • Manage adherence to project schedule, internal and external budgets, and quality of design work. • Ability to meet with contractors, sub-contracted trades, clients, A&D firms, client’s IT group, etc. • Pay close attention to details and is comfortable calculating pricing scenarios based on product selections and desired project outcomes. • Ability to field measure and document job site conditions. • Facilitate Live Design sessions with clients both in office and at client sites. • Working within project budget to ensure on-budget decision making. • Professional communication skills internally and externally, both verbally and written. • Knowledge regarding building code, ADA compliance, space planning and maintain this going forward. • Must continue to grow in design field through seminars, trainings, vendor meetings, trade shows, and other industry events. • Strong knowledge of interior design field, current practices, and trends. • Work within client deadlines for pricing and other tangible items. • Ability to work both independently and within a team-based environment. • Ability to travel occasionally for client-based needs. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills): • 2 or 4 year degree in Interior Design • 3-5 years of previous design experience related to the commercial furniture industry • Proficient in: AutoCAD and/or Revit, Microsoft Office Suites, Project Matrix and CET Designer • Attention to detail and professional communication skills • Great interpersonal skills • Demonstrated integrity and confidence • Must be a team player • Valid driver’s license required, including reliable transportation Physical Demands/Work Environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
