Senior Interior Designer / Design LeadCity Point Homes Draper, Utah area | Remote initially, hybrid/in-office over time About the role City Point Homes is hiring a senior-level interior designer to take ownership of the interior design side of our custom modern luxury homes. This is not a support role. We are looking for someone with strong design taste, excellent client instincts, and the ability to lead the design process from early vision through final installation. You will work directly with ownership, but this role is meant to drive the design side forward with real autonomy. The right person can create beautiful, highly resolved spaces, move efficiently, communicate clearly with clients, and build systems that help us scale without losing design quality. We care deeply about clean design, thoughtful details, and delivering a streamlined client experience without sacrificing quality. What you’ll own Lead the interior design process for custom modern luxury homes from concept through completionTranslate client vision into cohesive, high-level design direction while keeping within their budgetsDevelop finish palettes, material selections, plumbing/lighting specifications, cabinetry direction, and furnishing concepts where applicableCreate polished client presentations, design boards, and selection packagesCollaborate with ownership, drafting, and construction teams to ensure designs are both exceptional and buildableCoordinate selections, specifications, allowances, procurement direction, and design documentationHelp refine and systematize the design process as the company growsMaintain a high standard of design quality across multiple active projects What we’re looking for 5+ years of high-end residential interior design experience, preferably in custom homes or design-buildStrong portfolio demonstrating refined, elevated design taste, preferably with modern or transitional-modern workAbility to lead clients confidently through the design processStrong material knowledge and a sharp eye for composition, restraint, scale, and detailComfortable balancing creativity with budget, constructability, and schedule realitiesOrganized, proactive, and capable of owning deadlines and decisionsProficiency in industry-standard design tools; experience collaborating with residential plans/specs is importantBonus if you have experience in cabinetry design, furnishings, procurement, or install coordination This role is a fit if you Want real ownership, not just task executionCan move fast without becoming sloppyCare about strong design but also know how to get decisions madeAre excited to help shape the design side of a growing modern luxury home firm Compensation Competitive salary based on experiencePTOLong-term growth opportunity as the design side expands To apply Please submit: ResumePortfolioA brief note telling us:why this role fits you,what kind of homes/projects you’ve led,and how many high-end residential projects you can realistically run at one time without quality slipping.
