L+P Interiors, founded in 2018, is a high-end interior design studio based in Sausalito, specializing in custom luxury residential projects, with select boutique hospitality and commercial work. Our studio is hands-on, detail-driven, and highly collaborative—often involving custom furniture, one-of-a-kind finishes, and close coordination with architects, builders, artisans, and vendors.We are a multi-faceted firm. We move quickly, stay close to our projects, and everyone plays a meaningful role from concept through installation.
We’re hiring a Senior Interior Designer to lead projects with both strong creative vision and strong project execution.
Design Leadership (Concept → Installation)
• Lead the design process across multiple projects, from early concept through final installation.
• Create design presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and FF&E schemes.
• Develop space plans and design direction that is elevated, functional, and client-specific.
• Drive custom design work including furniture, millwork, lighting, and finish selections.
• Ensure design consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Project Leadership + PM (Execution + Follow-Through)
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and project flow across multiple active jobs.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants to keep execution aligned with design intent.
• Track budgets, proposals, and specifications; ensure details are accurate and communicated clearly.
• Proactively identify issues early and bring solutions.
• Support construction administration, site visits, and on-site decision-making as needed.
FF&E, Procurement + Vendor Coordination
• Own or co-lead FF&E sourcing, selections, and specifications.
• Manage vendor communication, pricing, lead times, and logistics.
• Track procurement schedules and support a smooth, organized installation process.
• Coordinate with workrooms, fabricators, and artisans for custom pieces.
Client Experience + Team Collaboration
• Participate in and lead client meetings with confidence and polish.
• Build trust with high-end clientele through clear communication and strong follow-through.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal and team in a highly interactive day-to-day workflow.
• Support and mentor junior designers as needed.
Must-Haves
• 7+ years of experience in high-end, custom interior design.
• Strong portfolio showing luxury residential work (hospitality/commercial is a plus).
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept through completion.
• Excellent taste level and strong design instincts.
• Strong project management skills—organized, proactive, and accountable.
• Confident client communication and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of FF&E, custom fabrication, vendor coordination, and lead times.
• Ability to work fluidly in a small firm where priorities can shift quickly.
Logistics (Important)
• This is a full-time, in-office position in Sausalito, CA.
• Must have a car and valid driver’s license (site visits, vendor trips, installs).
• Travel may be required for site visits and installations (primarily domestic).

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SketchUp (Revit a plus)
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
• Strong proficiency in Google Workspace
• Experience with Studio Designer, HOUZZ/Ivy, Design Manager, or similar is a plus
