Chads Design Build is an award-winning, locally rooted design-build firm known for craftsmanship, collaboration, and high-quality residential transformations. We are expanding our design team and hiring a Senior Interior Designer who is excited to take creative ownership, partner closely with clients, and help elevate the design standards of every project we touch. This is not a production drafting role. This is a lead, client-facing design position where your ideas, point of view, and aesthetic vision directly shape the outcome of each remodel or addition. Learn more about us: https://chadsdesignbuild.com Responsibilities • Lead design projects from concept through construction completion. • Collaborate closely with clients to translate their lifestyle, needs, and preferences into functional, beautiful spaces. • Prepare detailed drawings, material selections, and specifications that balance design vision with build feasibility. • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and craftsmen to ensure seamless execution of designs. • Conduct client presentations and facilitate design approvals. • Participate in site visits to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction. • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented studio culture. • Stay current on design trends, sustainable materials, and best practices in residential remodeling. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required. • 5+ years of residential interior design experience, ideally with exposure to design-build or remodeling projects. • Strong portfolio showcasing creative, client-centered residential design work. • Proficiency in Chief Architect, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar software. • Excellent visualization, space planning, and material selection skills. • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and finishes. • Exceptional client communication, presentation, and project coordination skills. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
