About this role

The Candidate We are seeking a creative and self-motivated individual who is interested in working in a collaborative team environment on the full spectrum of projects – from ground-up construction to interior renovations to custom furniture. The ideal candidate is creative, self motivated, detail oriented and is eager for a career collaborating within a strong design team. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in interior design field, managing all aspects of a design project with at least 4 years in the high-end residential workplace market • Exceptional skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and Revit • Strong knowledge and experience with Studio Designer (or similar program), Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. • Be a U.S. citizen, or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S. on a full-time basis with a valid U.S. Driver's License Requirements • Experience and proficiency in the full design process including concept, schematic, design development and construction • Thorough knowledge of construction documentation • Ability to generate custom furniture and millwork drawing • Advance understanding of architectural design and have the ability to multitask • Strong knowledge of vendors • Proficiency in documentation, construction administration, procurement, and installation • Strong verbal and document presentation skills for clients, builders and consultants • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, passion to learn and a great attention to detail, prioritization and ability to accurately follow procedures • Excellent and articulate communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills dealing with clients, contractors, consultants and vendors Responsibilities • Collaborate with Principal to develop design direction for projects • Manage a design team • Liaise with principal, clients, builders, architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, artisans and employees. • Communicate clearly, efficiently, effectively with clients and design team • Coordinate with all project vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors as required • Manage, create, and issue meeting notes to consultants, clients, and team members • Manage the design for clients ensuring that the concepts meet client expectations • Responsible for keeping deliverables and schedules for projects aligned by actively reviewing progress while managing support/junior staff assignments and delegating accordingly • Responsible for timelines for scope of projects • Schedule site visits and client meetings coordination as required • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously with strong time management skills personally while monitoring junior teams time from conception to installation • Selecting all furnishings for approval by the Principal, maintaining the project's overall design direction and aesthetic. • Creation of construction specifications design schedules • Extensive industry knowledge for sources, trends, construction and turn-key projects About Us Leslie Schofield Studio, a 12-person bespoke interior design firm based in Salt Lake City, seeks a skilled senior interior designer to join its expanding team.
