Description DLR Group is seeking an Interior Designer to join our dynamic Interiors team. This role, based in either Cleveland, OH or Columbus, OH, is versatile, encompassing a variety of responsibilities across multiple projects. As an Interior Designer, you will develop comprehensive material and finish palettes, create 3D renderings, and prepare presentation drawings. Collaboration is key as you will coordinate the design and technical development of interior project aspects, ensuring high-quality work that adheres to project scope, schedule, budget, and fee requirements. You will assist the project manager with scheduling, work plans, and QA/QC processes while often taking the lead on interior design efforts, client interactions, and presentations. Skills • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam • Strong knowledge of design techniques and sustainable principles • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Comprehensive technical knowledge of interior design • Ability to develop creative and technically sound solutions to design challenges • Proactive approach to enhancing knowledge and contributing to marketing efforts Responsibilities • Develop creative and technically sound design solutions • Integrate quality assurance/control processes and company standards • Maintain project schedules and budgets • Demonstrate strong conceptual design and space planning skills • Attend site walks and Construction Administration meetings • Lead collaboration within the project team and ensure BIM standards • Oversee QA/QC procedures and resolve clash detection issues • Manage time effectively and align construction/material costs with project budgets Qualifications • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in interior design • Professional licensure is required • Strong expertise in design techniques and sustainable principles • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proven ability to lead client interactions and presentations Education Requirements • Undergraduate degree in Interior Design or related field Education Requirements Credential Category • Professional licensure in Interior Design Experience Requirements • At least 6 years of relevant experience in interior design, demonstrating a strong portfolio of completed projects.
