Skills • Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) • 6 years of interior design experience or a combination of education and experience equal to 6 years • Proficient in basic mathematical skills • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus • Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities • Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers • Greet store customers and schedule design appointments • Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for projects • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions • Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy and follow-up • Collaborate with store leadership and employees • Support company initiatives and engage in current design trends • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and proprietary tools • Participate in local professional affiliations • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • Prior retail/sales experience preferred • Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position Education Requirements • Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or equivalent experience Education Requirements Credential Category • Interior Design Experience Requirements • Minimum of 6 years of interior design experience or a combination of education and experience equal to 6 years Why work in Albany, NY Albany offers a rich historical backdrop, combined with a vibrant arts scene and diverse cultural opportunities.
