Skills • Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or equivalent experience • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Proficient in basic mathematics • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers Responsibilities • Lead the design team and manage customer projects from inquiry to installation • Meet customers, listen to their needs, and provide creative design solutions • Schedule design appointments and support store design walk-in needs • Provide expert advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for various projects • Collaborate and communicate with store leadership and employees • Engage in current design trends and participate in local professional affiliations (e.g., ASID, NKBA) • Model and coach best practices to support company initiatives Qualifications • Minimum 6 years of interior design experience or equivalent education and experience • Prior retail/sales experience preferred • Experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position for internal candidates (24 months) Education Requirements • BA or AA in Interior Design or equivalent experience Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field preferred Experience Requirements • Minimum 6 years of experience in interior design or a combination of education and experience equal to 6 years Why work in Greenville, SC Greenville is a thriving city known for its stunning natural beauty, vibrant arts scene, and strong sense of community.
