This position is an opportunity to join the international innovation firm HWKN Architecture, where you will contribute to some of the most ambitious design projects currently underway in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
HWKN’s upcoming projects include our competition-winning 400,000sf future-forward office building in London; a prefab office brand for today’s generation in Germany; new custom office buildings in Munich and Austin that promise a radically different balance of work and living; multiple mass timber projects including a 200-unit building in Washington D.C.; homes for individual clients including those in our aging population specifically tailored to their live/work needs; mixed-use masterplans; and upcoming buildings in the Metaverse.
HWKN Architecture seeks an accomplished Senior Interior Designer to lead multiple project teams from concept through design development while advancing our AI-integrated workflows. The successful candidate will combine design excellence with disciplined project management to deliver distinguished hospitality and mixed-use interiors.
Responsibilities:
• Integrate and refine AI tools within the design process to enhance creativity and possibility.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams through concept and design development for luxury hospitality and mixed-use projects.
• Oversee materials, finishes, millwork, FF&E, and OS&E
• Manage schedules, and client communication to meet demanding deadlines; review contract scope with the management team to align on processes and deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS
• 7–10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in luxury hospitality interiors.
• Accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual design thinking and an ability to craft a compelling design narrative.
• Proficiency in Rhino; working knowledge of Revit is advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in finishes, millwork, FF&E, OS&E, and specification writing.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
COMPENSATION
& BENEFITS
• Full-time, non-exempt employment
• Salary compensation commensurate with experience: $95,000 – $125,000
• Flexibility of hybrid work
