Executing design with creativity, timeliness, and excellent communication has earned us a respected reputation in the community. We're seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team! We're open to candidates seeking part time or full time work. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: o Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Layout with excellent 2D and 3D rendering skills o At least 4 years of experience in designing full home renovations or new builds and furnishings from concept to installation o Bachelor's degree in Interior Design o Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Canva and Adobe o Able to read and interpret construction documents o Comfortable designing in a wide variety of styles outside your personal aesthetic o Must have transportation, auto insurance, and valid driver’s license KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Technical skills: o Create 3D renderings, elevations, architectural detailing, construction drawings and furniture floor plans in Sketchup and Layout o Create client presentations and specification books using Sketchup, Layout, Canva, and Abode o Contribute ideas towards space plans that are responsive to a client’s lifestyle requirements o Space planning o Detail design including tile lays, cabinetry, wall and ceiling treatments, millwork and trim o Assist with researching and specifying finishes and furnishing materials o Have a working knowledge of textiles o Assist and/or lead with installations o Style and accessorize for photoshoots Project Management skills: o Leading client projects and presentations o Create project budgets o Ensure projects are meeting key milestones and stay within budget o Project planning o Maintaining profitability targets o Leading on-site job walks with general contractors/trades/clients o New employee training and mentoring Organizational skills: o Lead multiple design projects simultaneously from project conception to completion o Lead client, vendor, and contractor meetings, take notes, ask questions and problem solve o Prepare items for client presentations o Meet deadlines on projects Professional skills: o Maintain high professional standards at all times (communication, courtesy, service, appearance, business etiquette) o Draft, follow, and give input to the firm’s design processes and procedures o Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices o Research new sourcing vendors and open new trade accounts o Participate in the operational tasks of the company as needed o Participate in social media and marketing activity o Run errands REQUIRED TRAITS o Confidence in clearly communicating your ideas o Strong work ethic o Open to learning from your peers and receiving constructive feedback o Self-motivated with strong time management skills o Team player o Problem solver o Flexible and resourceful o Capable of multi-tasking and handling several projects simultaneously o Able to work both independently and as part of a team o Maintain a high level of integrity and trustworthiness o Extreme attention to detail and are obsessed with getting the little things just right o Ability to express yourself through written and verbal communication o Passionate about residential interiors, staying up on the latest trends, discovering new products and resources, and consistently upping your design game o Above all, do what’s necessary to benefit the firm, team, and/or client.
