Our client, a prestigious design studio renowned for its innovative and sophisticated interior environments, is seeking a highly talented Senior Interior Architect to join their team in San Jose, California, US . This role is perfect for a creative professional with a strong portfolio and a passion for designing exceptional spaces. You will be responsible for leading the design process from concept development through to project completion, collaborating closely with clients, architects, and contractors to bring visions to life. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional design skills, technical proficiency, and a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities: Lead the interior design process for a variety of high-end projects, including conceptualization, space planning, and material selection. Develop innovative and aesthetically compelling design concepts that align with client requirements and project briefs. Produce detailed interior design drawings, specifications, and 3D visualizations using industry-standard software. Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of interior design elements. Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that meet design intent, budget, and quality standards. Manage project timelines and deliverables for interior design components. Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors during the construction phase to ensure design integrity. Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and safety regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors. Mentor and guide junior interior designers, fostering their professional growth. Stay abreast of the latest trends in interior design, materials, and sustainable practices. Prepare and present design proposals and presentations to clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in interior design and project leadership. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality interior design projects. Excellent understanding of FF&E sourcing, specification, and procurement processes. Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and construction methods relevant to interior spaces. Exceptional conceptual thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. NCIDQ certification is highly desirable. Experience with sustainable design principles is a plus.
