ROLE
We are seeking a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to join our growing Unispace Life Sciences team. This role is based out of our Mahon Office, in Cork. The successful candidate will have full autonomy to lead, grow and develop the role. Our Senior HVAC Design Engineer will work alongside the Building Services team and projects teams supporting the successful delivery of national and global capex projects for the Life Science industry. The successful candidate will have full autonomy to lead, grow and develop the role. This position will play a key role in the Company’s expansion and growth. This role will be involved in exciting projects within the pharmaceutical industry and requires an experienced individual with strong attention to detail. This is an office-based role, with hybrid flexibility to work from home on Fridays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Detailing designs including sizing and routing of services, including some 2-D and 3-D CAD
• Coordinating designs with all other disciplines
• Specificating and selecting equipment
• Collaborating with vendors and contractors
• Supporting construction and commissioning including dealing with contractor queries, site coordination and supervision / inspections
REQUIREMENTS
• Suitable qualification with a recognised Third-level Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• Experience of 2-D and 2-D AutoCAD will be an advantage
• More than 5 years pharmaceutical/life sciences design office experience
• Proven ability to successfully manage the delivery of designs for pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology projects
• Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multi-discipline project-delivery environment
• Ambition to grow and develop within a thriving high-growth organisation where client service and individual excellence is paramount
• Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
