Senior Director of Interior Design

Due to our ongoing growth, we are excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a motivated Senior Director of Interior Design to lead our Interior Design group. This role is available in several locations including Dallas, TX; Madison, WI; Tampa, FL; Bloomington, MN; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; San Diego, CA; Portland, OR; Lexington, SC; Charleston, SC; and Chicago, IL. Key Responsibilities: Oversee, manage, and mentor the interior design team.Handle administrative duties related to performance evaluations and setting professional growth goals for employees.Engage in business development initiatives.Manage interior design projects, including budgets, invoicing, and timelines.Lead local, state, federal, and aviation projects nationwide, including project deliverables such as reports, studies, specifications, and construction documents.Conduct quality control reviews.Perform additional tasks as delegated by the Architecture Business Unit Leader.Travel is expected at approximately 30%, and a valid driver’s license is required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, interior design, or a related field from an accredited institution with at least 3 years of relevant interior design experience.Alternatively, an Associate's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field from an accredited college with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.If no degree, a candidate must possess at least 7 years of relevant interior design experience.Preferred Experience: 8 or more years of relevant experience.NCIDQ Certification is highly desirable.Experience in leading an interior design practice.Proven capability in managing projects including budgeting, planning, and resource management.Experience in negotiating and administering contracts.Track record of developing new business opportunities.Capability in supervising and cultivating staff growth.Familiarity with generative AI-driven tools to enhance productivity and automate tasks.At Mead & Hunt, we shape the future by putting people first.
