About this role

Ted Moudis Associates (TMA) is a full-service architecture and interior design firm specializing in innovative workplace environments for media, technology, financial, and professional services clients. We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience in commercial workplace interiors to join our Chicago team. Important: This role is focused on interior architecture and workplace design. Candidates without commercial interior design or architecture experience will not be considered. This is not a graphic, digital, or product design role. Senior Designer – Workplace/Commercial interiors Key Responsibilities: · As a seasoned design professional with large, complex or institutional experience you will be expected to seek the highest standards of design and technical excellence and provide strategic project execution. · Lead commercial workplace interior design projects from programming through construction administration. · Develop space planning, test fits, and design concepts for office environments. · Guide design direction and evaluate solutions based on client and project goals. · Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and systems for commercial interiors. · Produce and oversee construction documentation sets (plans, elevations, details). · Collaborate with architects, consultants, and project teams on technical coordination. Required Qualifications: · 5+ years’ experience in commercial interior design or interior architecture (workplace preferred). · Proven experience in producing construction documents and detailing. · Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required). · Experience with Revit-based 3D modeling and rendering workflows (e.g. Enscape or similar) · Experience working on built commercial projects (not just conceptual work) · Hand sketching and conceptual visualization skills. · Adobe Photoshop and InDesign knowledge. · Excellent presentation, communication, and project coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience developing and implementing comprehensive workplace strategies for corporate clients. · Familiarity with hybrid workplace planning, utilization trends, and activity-based working environments. · Interest in researching emerging industry trends and best practices to inform workplace strategies and design solutions. · LEED AP / WELL AP accreditation To Apply: Send resume and portfolio (commercial interiors only) and salary requirements to HR@tedmoudis.com No staffing agencies.
