Job Opportunity: Staff Architectural Designer I
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly skilled architectural designer with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Independently evaluates, selects, and utilizes standard techniques in a collaborative environment. Utilizes independent judgment to solve complex problems and reviews findings with a team leader. Compiles data, performs design computations, and executes all necessary code analysis under the guidance of a team leader.
Prepares detailed architectural renderings and documentation in coordination with internal and external team members. Inspects architectural features of projects in the field with assistance from a team leader. Receives technical guidance and oversight. Requires supervisory approval on project documentation. Conducts quality control checks on own work and ensures that it is reviewed by a team leader. Coordinates assigned tasks with a team leader according to the workplan. Maintains accurate and organized project files and records in both electronic and physical formats. Exhibits a strong understanding of architecture principles and practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in architecture preferably with an internship experience.
• Local to New Haven and able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Ready to work towards registration.
• Proficiency in Revit document production is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to use sound and independent judgment is necessary.
