Senior Architectural Interior Designer Our award-winning Annapolis based interior design firm is seeking a full-time Senior Architectural Interior Designer. We are looking for a committed candidate who THRIVES in a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage a job from beginning to end – proficiency in commercial design, AutoCAD, architectural detailing, client presentations, installations and follow-up. The candidate will meet expectations budget guidelines and have extensive knowledge of application and vendor resources. They will hold the highest standard of image and develop skillful client interaction. Must be able to read plans in depth, review finish schedules and work well in a team setting. General Responsibilities • Communicate with Director of Warehousing to request and schedule install and follow-up dates for all MHD installations and follow- ups • Resolve scheduling conflicts with Director of Warehousing • Communicate with Sr. Expeditor and Marketing Team scheduled dates for installs and follow- ups • Work as a liaison between the MHD designers and the warehouse team members as problems arise • Work with Director of Warehousing to resolve issues and develop procedures as they arise • Review all finish schedules prepared by MHD designers and red line any inaccuracies. Requirements • Hand drafting skills, including space planning and working knowledge of CAD • Proficient in furniture/accessory placement • Knowledge of vendor resources and communication with vendors and sub- contractors • Ability to follow through, effective decision making, effective/responsible communication to foster good team interaction • Establish a personal image and refine client interaction skills • Handle a job from beginning to end – schematic design, design development, ordering, installation and follow up • Proficient design presentation skills • Proficient in creating and presenting scopes to clients • Understand the architectural detailing of the space, read plans proficiently • Expert understanding of architectural detailing, application and resources • Professional practice – hold the highest standard of image and develop skillful client interaction Required Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior or Architectural Design, required • NCIDQ certification, highly desirable • Must possess a minimum 3-5 years of professional experience.
