About this role

SALES & DESIGN CONSULTANT (OUTDOOR LIVING) POSITION OVERVIEW The Outdoor Living Consultant owns the client journey from first inquiry through signed contract and construction handoff. This role combines consultative sales and pool design to create buildable, budget-aligned outdoor living projects while serving as the client’s primary contact during the sales and design phase. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Lead Management Own the full sales cycle for assigned leads, from first contact through signed contractRespond promptly to inbound inquiries and proactively follow up with prospects to keep deals movingConduct in-home and on-site consultations to understand each client's goals, budget, and propertyMaintain an organized pipeline in the CRM, with accurate stages, notes, and next steps for every opportunityMeet or exceed the monthly and annual sales targets set by LPO leadership Design & Project Visualization Design custom pools and outdoor living spaces that reflect the client's vision, site conditions, and budgetProduce 2D and 3D renderings and design presentations using the company's design software (e.g., Pool Studio)Select finishes, materials, water features, decking, lighting, and equipment that fit the design and the client's expectationsRevise designs based on client feedback until the concept is approvedDesign outdoor construction elements, including patios, driveways, fire pits, outdoor living spaces, outdoor structures, rooftop bars, pool bars, pool houses, and related featuresCreate complete backyard concepts that integrate pools, hardscapes, structures, lighting, finishes, and entertainment areas Client Experience & Handoff Serve as the client's primary point of contact through the sales and design phaseCoordinate the handoff to construction, ensuring scope, drawings, and site details are complete and accurateStay engaged as a familiar point of contact during construction when the client needs reassurance or clarificationRepresent LPO professionally at showroom visits, home shows, and community events REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 5 years of Pool Design or Building ExperienceProficiency in Pool Studio SoftwareProven sales experience in pools, construction, landscaping, or luxury home servicesRegular travel to client meetings & job sites(Charleston, Bluffton, Beaufort, Columbia, Greenville, Cashiers, Asheville etc.)Evening and weekend availability required to meet clients on their schedulePeriodic participation in home shows, trade events, community marketing, and regional associations
