We design cutting edge interior landscapes that add beauty and value. We collaborate with architects, interior designers, and building owners to improve workplace wellness by incorporating biophilia. We specialize in providing a full range of interior and exterior landscape services to Tulsa. Cohlmia's is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented designer with horticultural knowledge and excellent customer service skills to join our team of designers. They sell new business for the company, including live and artificial plants and holiday décor to commercial clients. The Sales & Design Consultant makes initial contact with the client, develops initial design concepts and provides accurate estimates for production and installation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Develops new customer relationships; builds prospecting list and works leads daily. · Attends client meetings, professional association meetings and networking events. · Makes the initial contact with client and performs site analysis · Prepares all proposals/bids. · Reviews all bids with the Sales Manager for accuracy and marketability, and that all paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely. · Makes effective presentations using PowerPoint and other programs to presents all proposals/documents to client. · Utilizes existing system, to log all activity. · Closes sale and coordinates job specifics with operations team. · Interfaces with client and ensures that all of client’s concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. · Interfaces with Calvert's Maintenance Team for proper transition of contract to ensure client’s expectations are met. · Collaborates with sales manager to develop personal strategic plan and sales goals and takes ownership of implementing plans. · Required to work during busy Holiday installation and Removal schedules including Thanksgiving weekend Minimum Requirements · Minimum of two years of combined commercial or residential landscape sales experience strongly preferred. · Previous design experience preferred. · Basic knowledge of horticultural principles preferred. · Associate or bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of related experience (preferably in the Green or Interior Design Industry). · Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy. · Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. · Proficient computer skills including a high level of proficiency on Microsoft Office Products (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and an ability to learn additional computer programs · Able to create designs, conduct effective presentations, and provide estimates for interior projects to potential clients. · Able to sell $200,000 to 500,000 of new business sales annually. · Effective listening skills and ability to professionally converse with a range of audiences. · Ability to take accurate measurements of space and light; basic geometry and arithmetic skills · To maintain a safe workplace. Physical Requirements This position spends considerable time in the field, walking, driving and researching customer properties for leads. This position also includes spending time at a desk using a computer. This position frequently utilizes standard office equipment such as computer, printers, and scanners. This position moves about the office and sites including around objects and may occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. This position requires color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This job is generally performed in a typical office work environment, which includes equipment noise and frequent interruptions. Additionally, this job visits customer offices, properties, and occasionally construction sites. General Statement The nature and scope of the position is not solely limited to the duties and responsibilities listed above. Compensation: This is a full-time position. Compensation is made up of a base rate, plus commission. We expect to provide an initial book of clients upon hire.
