S L A M Collaborative Inc is hiring: Sr. Interior Designer in Glastonbury

This senior level position presents an opportunity for an Interior Designer to join the firm-wide Interior Design studio in Glastonbury, CT. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience working as an interior designer in the corporate and/or higher education markets. The successful candidate will provide exceptional design capabilities and produce high quality, innovative, functional, and aesthetically driven work that aligns with the firms core values. Key responsibilities include: • Experience with the architectural design process and integration of all aspects of interior design, including programming, planning, conceptual design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and overall project execution. • Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent listening, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team, with a strong emphasis on leadership within the various team dynamics. • Experience managing project budgets and schedules. • Experience leading a team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design problems, while directing, organizing, and mentoring junior team members with oversight of their activities. Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and other 3D visualization tools/programs is also required. A Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture with focus on interior architecture/interior design is necessary. WELL AP, LEED Certified, is preferred but not required.
