Retail Manager wanted for upscale home boutique

Retail Manager Bow Street Home is a new, upscale home furnishing and decor boutique located in quaint Freeport, ME. We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. You will be the one to ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. The ideal candidate will have experience as a store manager and knowledge of diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing etc. An effective retail manager will be able to motivate personnel to perform according to their maximum capacity. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the business. Applicants must be reliable, trustworthy, personable, and professional with excellent attention to detail. Being proactive, but willing to learn are also preferred skills. Ideal candidates have an interest in interior design, helping to create beautiful, serene spaces, handling luxurious textiles and the finest in home accessories and decor. Responsibilities \\- Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities amongst staff \\- Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance \\- Monitor stock levels \\- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation \\- Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise \\- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays \\- Ensure the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines Skills \\- Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position \\- Knowledge of retail management best practices \\- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities \\- Excellent organizing and leadership skills \\- Familiarity with Shopify POS Required: Experience in retail management and sales, a friendly and professional disposition, and available to work at least one weekend day per week. Retail experience, some technical skill, and customer service is a must.
