Residential Remodeling Project Designer

We are an established, award-winning home remodeling firm, and we need more designers. We want to hear from architects, architectural designers, kitchen and bath designers and interior designers who have experience in remodeling. KEY QUALIFICATIONS • Intermediate skillset at drafting, dimensioning, 3D rendering, and drawing elevations • Working knowledge of Chief Architect • Self-starter with excellent communication and planning skills • Hyper attention to details (measuring spaces, drafting plans, reviewing bids, checking the work of others) • Solid space planning skills • Presents concepts and solutions with confidence; ability to lead clients to decisions • Ability to interpret and execute a variety design styles • Collaborative team player with a flexible mindset; enjoys working in a team and process-driven environment • Ability to work independently and take direction from team members • Proactive problem-solver, stays in the solution • Ability to prioritize and deliver on competing demands ESSENTIAL DUTIES · Designs mid-size kitchen, bath, and exterior projects · Collaborates with Production in taking remodeling projects from concept to completion · Develops concepts specific to clients’ budgets · Performs all drafting for projects, including construction permit sets · Client presentations, site walk throughs, obtaining bids, develop scope of work and contract signings · Selects and sources all finish materials for projects · Performs administrative duties related to client projects: data entry, bid requests, file maintenance, assists with change orders as needed · Communicates with production and with external partners as needed · Assists in developing junior staff such as design assistants as needed -Communication is Leadership Ideal candidates are experienced in remodeling, either having worked for themselves or with an interior design or construction firm. Proficiency with Chief Architect or other drawing tools is required. Compensation is based on level of experience.
