About this role
• Must utilize software program Chief Architect to help facilitate design concepts.
• Assist homeowners in coordinating and making selections for their remodeled or new home.
• Schedule and facilitate design studio selection appointments for all clients.
• Responsible for preparation, execution of and distribution of selection documents.
• Verify accuracy of information and pricing prior to submitting for processing.
• Coordinate selections, options, and designs for clients.
• Explain home products and finishing options, specifications, and design details.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners on items and questions regarding their selections.
• Communicate regularly with builder, contract administrator and homeowner.
• Maintain design studio product samples and displays.
• Communicate with suppliers and trade partners to maintain current product samples.
• Maintain samples and products shown in a workable, organized manner. Keep an organized inventory of ordered products as per each new project.
• Participate in regular company meetings and company events.
• Confirm accuracy and condition of installed selections.
• Build confidence with potential clients by selling features and benefits of products
• Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
• Part time and Full time positions available
• Interior design experience and or education with previous experience in home construction is required.
• Ability to coordinate finishes and colors, along with exceptional design expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Liaison between contract administrator, project manager, and home owner.
• Professional appearance and presentation.
• Ability to engage, educate and assist customers in interior/exterior finish selections.
• Computer proficient and outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines to ensure building and delivery process is not delayed.
• Strong customer service-oriented personality and ability to work well with others interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
• Good verbal and written communication and organization skills as well as detail-oriented aptitude to provide accurate information.
• Design background with working knowledge of blueprint reading, to assist in the selection process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel.
• Ability to master software programs used in daily design center operations.
